Privacy
How CostGuard handles personal data and privacy choices.
This page is a readable summary of the CostGuard Privacy Policy. It does not replace that policy, and it does not replace any separate written agreement, Data Processing Addendum, Marketplace terms, or enterprise contract that may apply. Where this summary and the Privacy Policy differ, the Privacy Policy is the source.
Relationship to the Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy is the published document that describes how Hoshebartar Technologies collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information for CostGuard. This Trust Center page points at that document and shortens it for a first read. It introduces no new commitment and changes nothing in the policy.
Information categories
The Privacy Policy groups information into account and identity data, workspace and team data, Azure connection and cost data, report and recommendation data, support and communication data, Marketplace and licensing data, and website, device, and usage data. It also lists information that is not collected on purpose, such as customer source code and customer application secrets.
Use and disclosure
Information is used to run CostGuard: to authenticate users, provision workspaces, connect the Azure subscriptions you authorize, import and analyze cost data, and produce dashboards, forecasts, recommendations, and reports. The Privacy Policy states that personal information is not sold, and it lists the categories of parties with whom information may be shared.
Customer rights and contact
Depending on where you are, you may have rights to access, correct, update, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing rests on consent. The Privacy Policy describes those rights and the privacy contact route. Use the Contact page to raise a privacy question or request.
What this page is not
This page is a summary written for readability. It is not legal advice, not a contract, and not a statement of certification or compliance status. The Privacy Policy and any agreement that applies to your account remain the documents that govern how your information is handled.
