Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of CostGuard you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your organization. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Service description

CostGuard is a cloud-based cost visibility and optimization service for Microsoft Azure. It allows customers to connect Azure subscriptions, import cost and usage data, generate reports, and receive optimization recommendations. The service is accessed through a web browser and is operated by Hoshebartar Technologies.

3. Account and workspace responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each CostGuard account is scoped to a single workspace. You must not share credentials, allow unauthorized access, or use the service on behalf of others without their knowledge. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Azure connection and permissions

To import cost data, CostGuard requires you to grant read-level access to your Azure subscriptions via Microsoft Entra ID. You are responsible for ensuring that the permissions you grant are appropriate and that your Azure environment complies with your organization's policies. CostGuard does not make changes to your Azure resources and does not store Azure credentials or secrets.

5. Customer data and acceptable use

You retain ownership of your data. CostGuard processes your Azure cost data and account information only to provide the service and to improve it as described in our Privacy Policy. You must not use CostGuard for any unlawful purpose, to transmit harmful content, to attempt unauthorized access to systems, or in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

6. Subscription and billing

CostGuard is offered as a paid SaaS subscription. Detailed pricing, billing cycles, and payment terms will be provided when you activate a plan. Billing for Microsoft Marketplace purchases is subject to the Microsoft Marketplace terms in addition to these terms. Specific subscription terms will be finalized before general availability.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep CostGuard available and reliable but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change, or temporarily suspend features as we develop the product. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes in advance. We reserve the right to update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Hoshebartar Technologies provides CostGuard on an as-is basis and disclaims all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. This section will be updated with jurisdiction-specific language before general availability.
